A kind, beautiful, happy 6-year-old girl who was taken from us far too soon. Ellie knew how to make people smile. She loved with her whole heart and made sure everyone knew how much she cared about them.
The Be Like Ellie Foundation
The Be Like Ellie Foundation was started in May 2024 by Carly and Josh Berg, in honor of their daughter Ellie. Through kindness-focused initiatives for people of all ages, we inspire individuals and organizations to make meaningful differences in the lives of others. Together, we aim to build a more compassionate society in which every act of kindness ripples outward, continuing to shine Ellie’s light on the world.

Kindness Gifts
The Kindness Gift program was started to give people an opportunity to show someone they are thinking about them with a simple act of kindness. Each gift is hand-picked with Ellie in mind and adorned with her favorite color (purple).
The Purple Bandana
Ellie would often be wearing a purple bandana. It’s a special symbol that makes us think of her.
